Y2K problems pose increased security risks, IMO. These problems, including the embedded problems, will, IMO, cause networks to become more vulnerable to security hackers. As the systems fail, it is possible that if only the servers or main frames are the ones keeping the security integrity, the rest of the system becomes very vulnerable as it comes up without the computer(s) that was (were) doing the security work. I believe that a lot of money will be spent also on improving total network security. IBD's ranking today stands at 25 out of 197. It was 34 11 days ago.
