EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE UP-MOVE! albert, the action since last Thursday is obviously not due to a simple foundry agreement with IBM. I'm now convinced that K6 yields are way up.

However, I think the most optimistic people here misinterpreted what the mysterious Deepak reported a few days ago.

I think the 70% number is for the K6 (0.35), NOT the 0.25 micron version, because Deepak mentioned the 0.25 process specifically later in his post. A five-fold increase in the 0.25 process would put it at about 25% based on what Paul and I analyzed a while back. 25% is really not bad for the first quarter of production, considering that there's 2.25 times more K6-3D per wafer than the K6.
