Since nobody's reported on it, I just wanted to let people know about the radio program last sunday. It wasn't worth getting up for. It was about a 15 minute program on irradiation, with a couple of guys giving supporting arguments for it and the Food and Water guy against it. Ozone got about a minute of time as an alternative (Cyclopss was specifically mentioned), with a few sound bites from Bill. It was basically like a lot of the newspaper articles we've read about irradiation.

There were no announcements or revelations, but one interesting thing the commentator said at the end of the ozone section was that "Fruit and vegetable growers may be using ozone within a few weeks, while pilot projects with poultry and meat could translate into commercial use within about six months." I guess you could read whatever you want into that statement. There was also someone talking about steam pasteurization. Also interesting, one of the irradiation people said that ozone or steam would probably be used as supplements to irradiation, not as a replacement.

regards,
Mike

Novel Polymer news release should be out soon.

I'm not certain what the cause behind today's stock performance is but speculate it may be related to potential news regarding the monomer. Six weeks ago there I talked with a company rep who indicated a decision would be made near the end of February or early March regarding the licensing of the monomer.

I am copying a portion of an earlier post on the thread.

Quote:

In the Novel Polymer arena, testing is progressing smoothly. All tests to date have been successful. Foster-Miller is in the final phase of testing and plans to meet all validation requirements by the end of February or early March. A decision as to whether or not the company will license the product/process can be expected on or around 1 March. This is still under negotiations and has not yet been agreed upon by Cyclopss and Foster-Miller. The bottom line is the demand for the product is there.

Foster-Miller is making certain that the material properties are what they say they are. Again more positive news.
