Strange place, this Wall Street !
Doug:
What you say is really sad but seems to be true and an interesting philosophy too. Market has a propensity to move downward more violently based on,'negatively-charged'rumors,innuendoes,and the like, than it's proclivity to move up on positive rumors, innuendoes, news etc. So therefore 'Truth' as we know it has relatively less importance in the Market as what is 'untrue' could also be 'ture' in 'reality' on Wall Street.

I have no idea what I just said, but you however, are correct sir and that is all I am really saying.

Windseye, what you say is pretty much the hard reality. It's not what is really true, it's what the market chooses to believe and, subsequently, to act on. Can't fight the short term trend; have to adapt and make decisions accordingly. I'm holding for the longterm. dp

Windseye... The fact that CPQ broke below the 32 resistance
is not a good sign. However, (IMO) I do not believe
that CPQ has a tremendous downside to go (10%-15%), if.
Much negative perception already figured into CPQ price.
Looking at market breadth the last couple days is not an
indicator of a bad US economy. Upside potential vs downside
risk on CPQ not all that bad. Some other tech stocks appear
much riskier to me. More negative news might hit techs in 2Q.

Many tech stocks are seeking higher growth in Europe to offset
Asia. I wonder how Europe will be doing by Q4. They have a
much higher exposure to Asia than US.

At the rate were going, perhaps DEC will buy out CPQ.
