Another IRSN press release: techweb.cmp.com This technology, when developed, will have ENORMOUS market potential beyond military applications. In the telecommunications arena, current Optical/Electrical interfaces are big-ticket items, consuming lots of power, lots of valuable space in TELCO switching centers. In my opinion, if this IRSN system can deliver most of its promises, it will revolutionize that interface. Don't rely on my opinion however, ask some other TELCO people you might know that have a current network switching background. Knip

Dale, Thanks for the suggestion, but it won't work in my case. A couple of years ago I got a little wild and crazy with the margin and spent 18 months at home trying to be a day trader. I still believe my problem was that I didn't have enough capital to make it work, but my naivete regarding the stock market didn't help -- so I lost some money. I still trade, but I work too, and every confirmation of trade that arrives in the mail goes through her hands and she maintains the trading records. I can buy and sell at my whim, but three days later she discovers all. It works for us.
