Francis,
You have not posted in such a long time, I thought that you might have expired unexpectedly due to your advanced age (less than Ed Fishbaine, who was a mining engineer in King Solomon's Mines) VVVVBG !
At any rate, glad to hear that you are still around. Your question is well founded, but I could add a couple of dozen to your list.
The real problem is that there is an informational deficit with the company and no follow through. Hopefully, this will be solved soon. I know that the company has few employees and is a fledgeling company, but truly, they can and must do better with the public releases.
In my humble opinion, Ed is right about the potential and the properties, they do have good ore and I have verified independently that the dore does have good values, but let me add a caveat here. Success for the company depends upon them, not the refiners. They must produce a product that can consistently be produced by at least one refiner. They were touting their in-house capability a few months ago and that did not come to fruition.
I truly understand the problems related to refining these "odd" ores. Do not have your expectation levels too high at this point. I am certain that there will be further failures before there is great success.
This characterizes the whole effort of the DD's at this point. Further failures, and then a march of successes, small at first, but building in intensity. That is the way change happens, particularly large directional change.
Long decline, and beware the first bounce, and perhaps the second or third or perhaps the fourth, but know that a change is happening and know where you are in the whole scene. Do not think that you are wise enough to call the exact top or bottom, for while you may be fortunate on a few occasions, you will be unfortunate on a perhaps equal number of occasions. Build a strategy which tells you that you are at the top or bottom and make strategic moves on that basis.
This kind of advice is obviously useless to the day-trader in any market, and he works on a 5, 10 or 30 minute chart on a real time basis. I would not pick this stock for that as it traded less than 3000 shares today. I would pick the S&P 500 for that.
Know where you are relatively in any market, top or bottom. With relation to this stock, I can tell you that we are at near bottom, or it could end up worthless, and that is all that I can tell you. My sense is that it is near bottom and will move lower tomorrow on low volume, but not much lower. All lower moves have been on declining volume, which is positive. I am not one who speaks of market makers, but todays action rests solely with them. Down .09 on a volume of 2200 or thereabouts??????????
Real moves in this stock will happen on positive company news an not before. We are in an informational bear market on low volume. Positive news of a substantial nature will move the stock an nothing else. I personally do not care how many calls Dick Jensen fields and frankly, he should be out of the business, now that he has someone to do it and we have all agreed to reduce that load. What he needs to do is concentrate on running the company and forget about being the company PR man.
I have called him many times before and gotten the "I get too many calls routine", and frankly, it holds no water any more.
Time for a change, a sea change in the company.
I suggested a long time ago that Dick get out of the present mode, and I hope that he will heed my advice. All that we need is a reliable source of information, and that can be gotten easily. The company needs to realize that we are not stupid, that we need to be fed occasionally, and if we are not fed, we disappear. It is as simple as that, and if they forget that, then it is them who will wither!! Simple, simple, simple!
If I know them, and I think that I do, they are waiting for the killer announcement and are a little late as usual. My sense is that they have great potential, but it all depends on realizing that, and we should not set our timetable so short.
They will or will not, and I do not know the answer!
My call would be to be a buyer here rather than a seller. I like not the portfolio contraction that I have seen, but I have seen it many times. One thing that I will not tolerate(in answer to a question on this thread) is another reverse split. I have seen one of those and will not see another!! Just fact!!
