Edalv, << running shorts -- has a nice ring >>

It's the volume. I loved the volume today. I expect (and hope) there may be some overshoot tomorrow. I always buy long, no margins,
no puts, no calls. I keep 2 portfolios. Long term and short term.
I placed a sell at 26 3/8 on my short term today, but didn't make it.
Looking at the futures before opening tomorrow, I'll decide for a market or limit sell, based on futures. Long term stock remains untouched.
I was afraid for awhile my short term play was going to be long
term. I still think he may pull a Steve Jobs. Parallel egos! It
would be nice if the upside holds, but that will depend on the
quarterly report. I know semi's are squeezed, but as for TI (also
squeezed), their linear division is loaded. I see this as orders
from networkers upsiding for hi-speed net service and video streaming.
ORCL may not blow away earnings, but if these orders are really
in place, it says a lot for 2H 98 projections. Waiting to watch it unfold! Not saying they buy from T.I. , but it's a sector thing.
