It is amazing how long it took to really get through 1000 and stay there, a decade - and since 1982 has gone from 1000 to 8000 plus!

No wonder there are so many newsletters with disaster scenarios. Fear is such a compelling thing - nothing like it to elicit subscribers

I expect the decimal point has shifted one over and we may find many many attempts to get through, say, 10,000..
