Per their last report, Cypress closed down some domestic assembly operations, but is upgrading not closing any wafer fabs. It was the cost and delays which caused CY to have the break-even quarter, as they could not fill some SRAM orders during the transition. TJ has said the company took write downs as part of ordinary expenses, as he does not believe in one time write-downs. Also put construction of a new fab on hold for the the time being. BTW, that was/is Dan McCranie, the Cypress Exec VP posting on the Yahoo BB, something you don't usually see. Jim
