I looked at that situation as well and was concerned at the drop in sales. It could be that the market for silicone catheters simply is more difficult to penetrate than ABMI's original distributors anticipated.

It could be that the distributor's simply did not do a good job of selling the product line.

Look at all the new distributors ABMI has already signed up. There are more coming. They pay for ABMI products as soon as they get those products not when they sell them to hospitals.

I was reading last night about how a large percentage of their early sales were in Europe. I know for some products it is easier to get regulatory approval in Europe than through the FDA in the US. ABMI does not even have CE Mart approval YET so how were they selling so much over in Europe? Beats me, but it did not last as well as the old shareholders would like did it. The thing is they have signed more European distributors as well. These guys want to market ABMI's products because they think they will sell and sell well.

ABMI is really doing a great job of bringing their distribution network up to full speed.

Marshall Kerr the new VP in charge of sales has an excellent reputation and from all accounts is doing a bang up job.

I think we know the reasons why ABMI sells for 38 cents. They are pretty evident:

Low sales
Very little cash
Bad reputation as a overhyped stock
Overall trend of the stock has been down
Lumpy quarters and declining sales

And a thousand other things that make this a BB stock selling at 38 cents.

I'm not going to tell you there is no risk in this stock as an investment. There is always risk and you can and will be burned again.
But by ABMI at this price?

Read everything posted on this thread so far and ask yourself if this company came public today what would the IPO go for?
