Maverick: One month does not make a quarter,a year or doesn't even give anyone a 'meaningful' measurement of anything and besides if someone wants to invest based on the 'happenings' of one month then I have no arguments left to defend anything. But if there is a 'trend' in the industry then lofty expectations has to be lowered a notch or two,not only by Compaq but every one in the industry.The 'loftiness' was brought on by these analysts to begin with anyway,knowingly or not.One has to only look at some of their estimates for various companies particularly in technology.
