Dom-I think that Intel tries to show more concern for individual investors than many firms. Intel has indicated an interest in promoting greater investment on the part of individuals as a means to reduce price volatility. I think John Hull's participation at SI ( and that of his successor who has recently appeared here) are evidence of this policy.

The issue I referred to between Sonny and John H. had to do with an announcement Intel made after market close. John H. indicated that that decision was made so as to not disadvantage investors who's work responsibilities isolated them from market news and trading access during the day. Sonny felt that after hours announcement favored big investors who had after hours trading avenues. I'm not choosing sides in the argument, only pointing out that Intel's position was that they felt they were levelling the playing field.

I personally feel that any policies (such as open conference calls) are good for individual investors, and good for the market as a whole. Simply observe the phenomonal impact of the internet on the investment community!!

Have a good one!!
