Doc,
I spent several years in the Soviet Aerospace Industry. The degree of computer technolgy and software, were almost non exsistent. Give them
another ten years, and they will be where we are now. As the Soviet Union, they acquired, ( ???? ) many U. S. high technolgy documents. Regretfully or maybe not, they had very few people qualified, to transition the technolgy to their systems. They still are behind the technology power curve.!!!!

*COMPLETELY OT*

Doc,
Oddly enough, in the world of scientific measurements, significant digits and all that, the Soviet calculators would be correct. You're not allowed to end up with more precision than you started out with. Measure accurate to +/-1, calculation results still only accurate to +/-1. 7 ain't the same thing as 7.0 which ain't the same as 7.00. The Soviets are probably equally stunned by an American calculator that thinks 7/3=2.333333333333. Bizarre eh!
