Robbie...I think you are right and so does EP. I just saw a $2300 ad for a Dell with all the fastest stuff on it but what is the point of having all that technology unless you have a use for it. The $499 machine with a good modem will be just as fast as a 333mgz machine on the internet or used as a client machine.

You're exactly correct ... the law of diminishing returns
for boxmakers is down the road. (not that far).
Pfeiffer has assembled an "army" of various resources "total package" which has staying power to successfully weather the upcoming storm.
(read some of my earlier posts) It is important to watch DEC merger. DELL is making different changes.?

We shall see how it plays out. Remember the dinosaurs did not
adapt to the changing environment. Haven't seen any around lately.
Critical to adapt in tech industry. (Commodore who?)

ISBN 0-679-42043-6

This is one of the most informative strategy books I have ever read.
Can certainly be applied in business.
Asked all my managers and directors to read it too.
It is standard reading at all military academies, I believe.

Chapter 11 - Concentration of Force in Spaces could apply to CPQ
strategy.
