TO ALL:
Do any of you here read the Yahoo MU BB? Someone posted the following (I'd paste the URL but it's too loooooong. post #2024):

>> TER has a huge backlog and a bit of trouble delivering testers MU wanted, when they wanted 'em.
MU double booked - went to Advantest and got testers, they are up and running up to MU's
satisfaction; this is not new news.

intel has been pushing the pc100 bus standard by mid-year. this forced memory makers to shift
production to 100mhz SDRAM by
mid-year - which required lots of shiny, new, high speed testers. intel has quietly pushed out the new
standard to year end,
relieving the deadline, ending the sense of urgency and enabling MU to sit on their hands for a while.
between the Advantest testers
coming online and the pushed out deadline, the TER orders (which had been double booked
anyway) will probably be debooked. while
this is a negative for TER, it doesn't really signal a problem for MU. <<

Anyone here also feel that this is old news? I've never heard anything about Advantest...what other companies supply testers to MU?

Sam
