Bill,

<Already the AMD CPUs are better and are sought after. >

JMHO, is it not possible that the reason they are sought after is because motherboard manufacturers are stuck with inventory and no chips, because they bet on AMD. Once these boards are populated and sent out, these manufacturers may not want to deal with AMD again. This is just conjecture on my part, but could be verified if one can measure the inventory or pricing of unpopulated MB's.

Again, JMHO.

Bill - Re: ". It means nothing to the average
smart person if an AMD or Intel CPU is in there at the same speed. Who cares that the AMD is 5% faster,?, a few hackers maybe, but the bulk do not care. "

Last year AMD and Intel had a real life contest.

It was determined that the average smart person preferred an Intel CPU to an AMD CPU 80,000,000 to 2,850,000, or 28 to 1.
