Hi Foxbat,

If you're using Schwab web trading you can do it (meaning there's no person to stop you), but don't tell Schwab you did it, they'll get mad. (your secret's safe with me). The problem with web trading with pennies is that its costs $29.95 for 1000 shares. When a stock is only .20, that's a lot to pay per share. Above 1000 shares it's even worse -- .03/share. That's OK if your buying a $20 stock but in pennies you get eaten alive.

If you call Schwab to place a penny trade, its about .01/share .... but then they won't place the purchase unless you have cash in your account !!!!!!

In conclusion, if you're big into DAY TRADING pennies, Schwab is not the best broker to use. Otherwise, their execution (meaning the price you can get for the stock) usually more than pays for the commission.

Regards,
Chris
