Re: "The issuing of new shares (just a paltry $1B) could cost AMD $7 in share price over the short run."

How did you come up with this $7 figure?

Kevin

It is absolutely amazing how people come to such idiotic conclusions!! At first even I was a bit concerned with this $1 billion announcement but I guess I did not see the shelf registration part of the announcement. This has always been proven to be bullish for the company.

The $1 billion is simply a shelf registration! This means that the company is anticipating a run up in their stock very shortly and they anticipate additional infrastructure investments which "may" - just "may" - require additional cash. And rather than weakening their balance sheet they will use the run up in their stock price to generate the needed cash. Many companies have done this. Sun Microsystems did an exact similar thing last year when their stock was in the high $20's-low $30's before it went to $50's (and they have not yet used their shelf program either!). Intel did a similar thing many years ago in the mid 80's, and so has many other high tech companies before their stocks run up in price (and most have ended up not using this so called shelf registration anyway).

So just relax and watch AMD to reach the $30-$35 range very very shortly. But perhaps the most exciting and interesting part would be to watch con artists such as Tom Kurlak putting their foot in their mouth (which I anticipate them doing so later this Month/mid April). But do they mind doing so?! Well, if I was working for big multi billion dollar clients whose interests relied on how my idiotic word of mouth could manipulate and scare little guys on the street and then get paid million in bonus, I would even be willing to go on national TV and literally put my own foot in my own mouth!

Yousef,
Re -- You need to come to your senses quickly ... YOU WERE RIGHT ... AMD is headed toward bankruptcy.

I dont think so anymore. With AMD's issuance of new shares, AMD will definitely beat estimates this Q. Therefore this will trigger a run up in the stock price which will cause institutions to jump over each other to buy AMD shares, which will in the least probability reach $100.

However I will get out at $35-$40 range for a cool 50% gain in 3 months.

Way to beat estimates AMD. GO AMD!!!
