The program was designed to give preliminary information from two separate areas of the Baroyaÿ concessionÿ that have been the subject of extensive orpaillage work (artisanal mining). Baroya North North of the village of Baroya, several veins have been located over a 220m widthÿ forÿ a length of 400m. Near the initial discovery zone a pit was dug to a depth of 7.2m. From four metres depth to the bottomÿ ofÿ theÿ pitÿ the 3.2m assayed 45.99 g/t gold (this included a 50 cm wide quartz vein grading 207 g/t gold). A second pit at Baroyaÿ North,ÿ 185mÿ south-southeastÿ ofÿ theÿ firstÿ pit, returned 6.5m of 1.76 g/t gold which included 3.5m of 2.22 g/t gold. South of the second pit 100m, a third pit yielded three metres of 2.21ÿ g/t gold from the surface. A 16.5m long trench, 85m southwest of the third pit, returned 5.70 g/t gold over 6.5m from quartz veins in eluvium. Segala Extension This zone is interpreted to be theÿ westernÿ extensionÿ of theÿ Oliverÿ Gold/Trillionÿ Resources,ÿ Segalaÿ Gold Resource property (1.3 million ounces) which is approximately 4km northwest of Nevsunÿ Resources', Tabakotoÿ gold property (indicated resource to date of 1.5 million ounces). One trench was completed at this location which assayed 3.86 g/t goldÿ over a length of 7.6m. New Zone A 1.5m wide quartz vein was discovered between the Baroya North andÿ Segala Extensionÿ zones.ÿ Twoÿ samples from this vein returned 81.60 and 61.41 g/t gold respectively. Future work will address the three zones referred to above, with the intent ofÿ determiningÿ ifÿ the veins described on the Baroya property are part of one large vein system or are a series of individual and separate veins. The Baroya permit is held as to 65% Shiega, 25% Robex, and 10%ÿ Somex-Sarl, a private Malian company. (c) Copyright 1998 Canjex Publishing Ltd. Regards, Wats P.S. - I think this stock should be a lot higher than 35 odd pennies right now...too bad the overall resource market is so bad. Nevertheless, good things come to those who wait: so far, things look VERY promising. :-)
