Don, thanks for the info. This little pullback is in-line with the moving averages and subsequent support. When I look at charts of the stocks i keep an eye on. Over 90% of them have established a clear bottom and have started what looks like a trend up.

This weeks decline is now just coming to the 50 day moving average and should bounce off of that in af couple of days. I wouldn't be surprised if this weeks midweek losers aren't next weeks midweek winners.

If you don't mind doing the work the midweek posts are a welcome, thanks!

The market so far this year looks quite a lot like last year for the
first 2 months. A tendency for the stocks to rise in Jan/Feb, and
now some hesitancy. Maybe we are due for some churning or a falloff.
I read the latest article by M. Murphy in SI a couple of days ago.
One statement really caught my eye. Murphy indicated that stocks
might start rising again during the last part of April. If so, that
would be just like last year. The low point was last year was for
the week ending 4/25. The very next week the group had a 15 percent
gain. The group from that point went on to nearly double by mid year.

Since I had the data for 4/25/97 and the closing prices for
yesterday, I decided to compare them to see how the individual stocks
did over that period. The results are shown below. One message I
get by looking at the list is - it sure pays to be a good stock
picker!! Also, if you pick the wrong ones and hold long - it's a
fast way to part with your money.

Error!! Forget about the list. I have to go back and recheck some
numbers. I made a big mistake somewhere - if I find it I will post
the results later.
