ULBI has promised to have its advanced rechargeable production line up and running at full speed by June 1998. The proceeds of the secondary will be used to purchase additional production equipment to further increase production capacity of its advanced advanced rechargeable batteries in its Newark, New York facility and to purchase automated assembly equipment and other equipment necessary to produce advanced rechargeable batteries at its Abingdon, England facility. In addition, the company plans to use a portion of the net proceeds to establish a third production facility, which is likely to be located in Asia. The company today also entered into an agreement to purchase the production facility and large headquarters building, situated on 66 acres. They were also able to negotiate favorable tax incentives and very low cost electricity rates. Great work by your management team at ULBI. All this expansion while maintaining a debt free company.
