JW, outstanding CVUS/LMDS article!! I attended the Economic Strategy Institute conference yesterday in Wash., D.C. Shant Hovnanian, CEO CVUS, was one of the featured speakers. The conference was well attended (approx 150 people) and there were many "heavy hitters" from the telecommunications industry. The topic of the conference was AMERICA'S BROADBAND FUTURE. I was very impressed with the exposure LMDS received and I'm sure the ongoing LMDS auction had a lot to do with it. The FCC Commissioner mentioned several times that the large swath of spectrum being auctioned off represented a phenomenal opportunity and was but one alternative to the exponentially increasing demand for broadband technology. There will be no one winner in the wire vs wireless, satellite vs fiber... whatever...world. DEMAND IS TOO OVERWHELMING!!! Every indication from this conference pointed in one direction...high speed wireless two way low cost bundled services. CVUS' DAY WILL COME. It definitely is one untapped solution to the last mile bottleneck. Shant's presentation was excellent. Thanks for reading. J.P. Morin
