Business & Outsourcing is an interesting new offering, and as often happens with Fidelity, it took off like a shot from the day it was started. I discussed its objectives and types of investments in great detail in my newsletter a few weeks ago, but will not add it to me weekly data and advisory sheet until it has existed for 30 market days. The chart is almost a straight line heading up, so jumping in now is a risky play. Once it has been around for a while, a better buying opportunity may come after it pulls back considerably, and develops the type of technical charting indicators that provide us with a solid buy signal. Lots of Year 2000 companies in this fund, a group whose fate once the millenium begins is unknown. One additional thought -- if you thought the year 2000 problem is and will be a big one, wait till the year 10,000 when another digit is required. Maybe we can start a year 10,000 software firm now and get speculative seed money 8,000 years in advance.
