Henry,

Having tested the magical 15 1/4 yesterday, though on somewhat low volume, today could be the judgement day, that P^2 was talking about. The positive fundamentals are certainly there, and everyday brings us closer to the announcements.

I hate myself for not having shorted AMLN last week. I was following it for a short candidate, since it was testing 5 for a while. Yesterday has proven to me once again that biotechs are really not for the faint-hearted. Before stumbling on to the LGND thread last year, I had pondered buying IPIC as well. Look where the stock stands now after the Redux fiasco.

Initially, I had not liked the fact that LGND has many partnerships with the pharma big boys, as I viewed it as a lack of concentration on fewer and more important areas, as well as a sign of LGND planning to remain solely an R&D powerhouse. After I've witnessed the slaughtering of a few one-trick ponys, I started to interpret the above as a strength rather than a weakness.

Regards

Alper
