Vulcan Minerals Inc. (the company, ASE:VUL) announces that it has entered into an investor relations agreement with Round Table Management Limited (Round Table (604) 708-0919), an arms-length corporation. The agreement is for a term of one year. Round Table will be paid $3,500.00 per month and issued 95,000 stock options exercisable at $0.40 for 18 months. As well 10,000 stock options exercisable at $0.40 for 18 months will be issued to an employee of the company.

On the exploration front, the company has contracted a geophysical company to acquire 6 kilometers of seismic data near Flat Bay, western Newfoundland in prelude to a summer drill program for petroleum. That seismic program should commence within the next 7 days. Proceeds from the upcoming financing with Yorkton Securities will be used for western Newfoundland exploration and Alberta diamond exploration.

The company will be having an exhibit in the Investor's Exchange section of the Prospectors and Developers Association Convention on March 8 and 9. Shareholders and investors attending the conference are invited to drop by Booth 2624.

Look for press release today announcing a contract with Round Table Management for investor relations.
Also announcing a contract with a geophysical company to shoot 6 km. of seismic on the company's oil property on the west coast of Nfld......in the area of Pan-Canadian's oil discovery in 1995.
