Capt Dan, I'm not sure, although if my memory is correct the bid and ask changed not too long before market open. Perhaps someone could tell us how the MM's are positioning at the open. I also agree that closing at the ask is positive for today. I didn't access a log, but looking at the chart, it seems as if the majority of the volume came after the release and the trendline is steep and steady.
