Electronic Buyers' News via NewsEdge Corporation : Reports have surfaced that Intel Corp. may strike a deal to have its new i740 graphics processor manufactured on a foundry basis by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Hsinchu-based TSMC is already making Cyrix Corp.'s first batch of 6x86MX processors built on a 0.25-micron process. Separately, Singapore's Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. recently signed a $1 billion foundry alliance to make communications chips for Lucent Technologies Inc.

Victoria - Re: AMD upcoming loss.

A month or so ago you said AMD would be out of business by Q3 (or something to that effect).

I vehemently disagreed with you.

As it turns out, you may be right and I may be wrong.
