<<<<Bob, you've been saying I'm an imposter for over a week. Why, oh, why do you write so much text about me, in practically every message you post, when you know I'm imposter. Do you have that much free time on your hands? If I'm an imposter the *smart* thing to do would be to ignore me. Of course, that's the smart thing, and you've already proven that smart ain't your strong point.>>>

Well THE Scott Miller, it's simple. If you are going to run around with the huge "KICK ME" sign strapped to your rear end then I am more than happy to introduce you to my size 10s.

<<BTW, Bob, did you see Bill Gates yesterday in front of a special government hearing defending the notion that Win95 isn't a monopoly? Or do you ignore facts that go against your stated beliefs here. <snicker>>>>

Yes and let me recap it for you Scott as it obvious you are brain dead when it comes to the whole issue.

Senator Blowhard: "How many people in here use PC's?"
-About a hundred people raise their hands.
Senator Blowhard: "Now, how many people use a computer that doesn't have a Microsoft operating system on it?"
-Everyone lowers their hands.
Senator Blowhard: "Now that is a monopoly!"

No...Mr. Senator that is a group of computer users who either don't have the brains to use another computer other than WinTel OR refuse to pay the premium over WinTel machines to own a MacIntosh or a UNIX machine. It doesn't mean that Bill Gates forced them to buy anything. The alternative choices still exist regardless of whether or not people buy them. What whiners like Scott McNealy and yourself refuse to admit to is it is the CONSUMER that has granted Microsoft their market share NOT Microsoft who has granted Microsoft their market share. You know Scott, to be such a business whiz I am absolutely shocked that you have not even a nodding acquaintance with anti-trust laws or historical monopolistic practices. Tell you what. You go back and bone up on the fundamentals of anti-trust law and then I will attempt to hold an intelligent conversation with you. By the way Scott, I don't recall your company EVER moaning about Microsoft's "monopoly" (to use your words, not mine) in the DOS market when your company was struggling to get a foothold. Likewise if you were so sympathetic to the competition isn't it intriguing that your company and others like it usually release a Windows version long before a Mac version. In fact, I have only been able to find one game that can even run on a UNIX box and that is a port of Doom some guy at Sun wrote for the heck of it. Hey, if you are going to take a stand on the issue at least don't be so hypocritical about it.

Senator Tightwad: "Mr. Gates, could you tell me what your revenues were last year."
Bill Gates: "Uh approximately 14 billion dollars."
Senator Tightwad: "And could you tell me how much profit you made."
Bill Gates: "Uh, well uh I don't have that information readily available."
Senator Tightwad: "You don't have that information readily available, then could you tell me what your profit margins are?"
Bill Gates: "Well they are approximately 24%.
Senator Tightwad: "24%, Mr. Gates that is an astounding profit margin in the business world."----snip

Yes, this coming from a someone who is employed by an entity whose profit margin is approximately 100% of 2 trillion dollars of which the only product they produce is endless paperwork!

<<<There are many kinds of monopolies, Bob. BusinessWeek has been running reports for several issues about Win95 being a *new* kind of mind share monopoly, one that the government regulations need to account for. Your dictionary is behind the times, I'm afraid.>>>

<rolling eyes>And what will THE Scott Miller think up next? Business Week as being the bible of anti-trust decision making! The true nature of anti-trust monopoly break-ups occur(red) because the target of those investigations had control of an overwhelming advantage of the resources needed to produce a product. Sorry Scott, but no matter how you cut it Microsoft only makes a popular product. They do not control the computer market or the resources necessary to program code an operating system nor do they control the raw materials and capabilities for manufacturing CD ROMS. What they have meticulously done is grab a rather large market share of a product associated with computers. Just remember if there were no Id software and no LucasArts your company would be in the same boat and I think you'd be the first to scream FOUL if someone said you were a monopoly based on your market share of FPS games.

<<<As for the rest of your posts trying to degrade me in various lewd manner, I can't be bothered to respond, even though doing so is a simple task. I'm certain others here can recognize all your errors without me having to point them out. (In fact, after posting my
email, there have been nearly two dozen lurkers and otherwise here who have given their support to me, and who said they stay off the board because a few individuals like you are out of control. Many of these people do not have accounts, they just read the board like I used to do.)>>>

Yes, and I am quite sure you haven't received one that has told you that you are anything but an arrogant jerk who loves to toot his own horn. <insert silly happy face> Just remember you are THE Scott Miller and you diddle with PC games.

<<Anyone reading Bob's posts about Apogee, Gathering and GT should realize his errorrate is well above 50%. He was the prime reason I wanted to come here and correct what I called rampant misinformation. Even his call that I'm a fraud is clearly wrong, yet he stubbornly sticks by it.>>>

You know for someone who cries like a school girl who just bruised her knee about how my posts are so erroneous you have as yet to show anyone on here a single error that I have posted. Now, if my accusation that you are a free loader and a fake is not correct I will be more than happy to acquiesce as it means that I am only incorrect and YOU are stuck with being THE Scott Miller!
