JDN - Is there ANYONE on this thread that agrees with the authors comments on the Data Base?

Of course not. It is a gross misstatement of the facts.
The author is, to quote Cramer, WRONG!!!!!

I can speak FOR the importance of the database: my wife has done much the same thing for a semiconductor manufacturer wrt equipment suppliers. The database doesn't solve the problem, but without it you're hosed - there's just not enough time to test every piece of equipment. WIth the database, these companies can use some triage to focus on problem areas. And that's about all they've got time for between now and 2000.

A non-compliance report is only the first step - finding out if the vendor has an upgrade, negotiating with them for it, deciding whether to fix it yourself, junk the equipment, rewrite custom programs, etc etc. Whether they can do it or not, TAVA is the logical choice for doing these things if they've provided the database in the first place.

<<I know that is the official line (that Cramer doesn't influence thestreet.com) but if you believe it you shouldnt be purchasing your own stocks--your too naive--stick to mutual funds. JDN >>

Dude, I'll stick with my 400% returns over the last couple of years. Thanks for your concern though.

P.S. <<Biff: Would you not agree that is a BOLD FACED LIE!! You know the saying, "there oughta be a Law". JDN>>

I've known Cory for awhile now, and he has steered me to some very profitable stocks, including TAVA (I take what he says seriously) .... But, I'm guessing his flippant and inaccurate comment was probably made as a result of Mr. Jenkins specifically not hyping TAVA's prospects or business model at the conference itself (I wouldn't have minded a bit more hype and/or NEWS!) That was pretty much a waste of a press release.

I wrote Cory explaining why I thought he was wrong regarding TAVA, and will contact Scott to see if he can talk to Cory to set him straight. I know others have written to Cory as well. He can be reached at www.thestreet.com
