>> I HATE YOUR WHINING PASSIONATELY.

If you simply ignore customer service problems, how do you expect them to ever get better??? As a shareholder you should be upset that EchoStar is taking the SAME customer service route as the cable industry.

I have in my 2 months of ownership had nothing but trouble with EchoStar.

1) Misinformation and/or Contradictory information
2) Installation troubles
3) Missed appointments by EchoNet
4) Poor procedures

I have a two-dish system and two-receivers. How would you like to be changing channels on one receiver to blank out the other receiver??? Its annoying as hell. I love the picture quality, I love the channel guide, I love the PPV, I love the Info button but the most important asset of a television reception system is RELIABILITY. If you can't watch what you want to watch without constant and regular interruption then what good are the other features? I realize that the majority of you with one-dish systems probably do not have any reception problems.

I promise you that the friends and family that have seen the EchoNet installation at my house will probably NEVER buy a Dish Network System. Don't get me wrong...I know that when all of the bugs get worked out that I will have a superior system to cable. But it should not take 2-3 months to get right.

So to answer your questions..

Would I go back to cable -- Not if I can get my problems resolved.

Do I think that DirecTV and Primestar are not having the same problems? -- If they are, then I hope that somebody is screaming at them.

By the way, I do seem to be getting the attention of some upper management at EchoStar. Unlike you, they don't ignore consumer complaints as whining...they take them seriously.

Good luck on the golf course....maybe you need to play a full 18 holes instead of 9.
