DELL will loose a price war because they won't fight a price war.
One year from now, IBM, HWP, and CPQ+DEC may not make money on PC's. They may just use the PC sales to augment their service businesses.

How about that for a PC nightmare.

As it is now, HWP and IBM barely make money on their PC divisions. They only use them supply the service arms of their businesses.
DELL does not have that.
On positive argument for DELL on CPQ/DEC is that CO's like Anderson consulting & EDS will use DELL PC's as opposed to giving business to their competitors.

If CPQ BTO works, then DELL will really loose its advantage.

Can DELL over come all the hurtles in front of it, Yes. I just think they will stumble on something, I am not sure what, and the stock has discounted flawless preformance for the next 5 years to come.
