you guys are correct. At about 9 a.m. pacific time I got a little frustrated and went to yahoo to get some graphs and quotes.( SI isn't doing to well by NYRR, one of the hottest threads).

I had forgotten. Brad probably went to lunch. He gets one break a day

I don't see any slow down....

John wonders "My fear is that SI has slowed down since the inception of the portfolio feature...."

I don't think that's a problem. It would be one thing if there were quotes on every page, but the quote fetch shouldn't interact with article fetches unless it causes additional server load. I'm sure our fine developers are watching for that... we've seen comments from Brad before about feature suggestions that added database load, for instance.

But it seems to me to be running fine this morning... keeping up with the usual level of performance I get here at the office, with a very fast connection....
