Mohan in 1947 Hyderabad State, with a Muslim leader was co-opted into joining India: at the same moment Kashmir, with a Hindu leader ruling over a Muslim population joined India. Therein lie the seeds of the present troubles, but doubtless you know this. I used to believe that India had to preserve itself by force of arms much like the North did in the US against the south. After you have seen fifty years of bloodshed in Kashmir... I wonder. When does the bloodshed end? It seems the situation verges on the eternal. On a happier note perhaps Kashmir like the state of Texas is just a state of mind. I do enjoy your Indian websites... all of them in their dozens adn dozens. Generally speaking the Indians have the best web sites in the world. Now, if we could just harness all that talent and brainpower and be able to trade in and out of a free market on India's 24 different exhchanges.... with 3 day settlemets...why, goodness we'd all be rich because we'd be the first to know via the thread here.
