Now McNealy has control of an important standard himself -- Java, which many believe to be
key to the Internet's future. So what does he do? He pretends he's going to release it to a public
standards body, while secretly retaining full control for Sun.

J.P., this is from an old article. Java has since been ratified by an International standards body to become a standard. So no one is pretending.
