Shivram,

I thought it was obvious that there are new shares to be issued to the party putting up the money. And as I understand, they are restricted for up to a year so they will not be able to sell for a year.I am not sure of the amount of shares. Also, there will be some warrants issued too. Too busy to dig up details, but I will research some more next week if my orders have filled.

For a quick bounce, I think CNTRC should just kiss Bill Gate's you-know-what a la General Magic (GMGC) and everyone will be happy. Check out GMGC today. Up 150% on MSFT invsetment in the company.

Good luck,
JK

Gupta's problem was that he aimed too high. He should have focused or at least spared some of his concerns to the low-end market. He must have felt frustrations for not fulfilling his plan. I think one of the reasons that VB and PB are so successful is they have vast customer bases at low-end market. After reading Mark Hunter's current article, I feel Centura is heading to the right direction. It's true that Centura should consider customers's need for supports to Centura's tool products and they might not even care about new features, such as internet-enabling. But as a company, Centura cannot rely on its tools to survive financially. Look at Centura's previous quarterly earnings, just how much revenues generated from tools' sells? I believe less than 30%. Centura has a great database but it's not suitable to address enterprise or even mid-big size systems. With Oracle and MS's SQLServer out there to cover enterprise level database, other vendors will have to look for alternatives. Centura needs diversify. The idea of appliance-type database is a very good one. In fact this idea is not brand new. I heard back four years ago, one of Gupta's employees submitted a memo detailing the idea of pocket database along with the steps needed to implement it to Gupta management, but Mr. Gupta was too preoccupied with his big concerns to pay attention to this suggestion. It was really sad.
