I have no empirical data to support this, but for a great company like Compaq...when people say sell, sell, sell, it's probably time to buy, buy, buy. When the mood of the market is that a company can do no right, this is probably the best and perhaps safest (for a company like CPQ) time to buy. This is what experience tells me. Compaq is not a company that will go bankrupt or disappear tomorrow; thus, when things start to look brighter this stock will rocket back up.

Just my opinion.
