Anyone waiting for big-cap tech to lead a market pullback has to hold on until tomorrow, but no longer than that: Intel's (INTC:Nasdaq) post-close warning just about assures a tumble in the next session.

In after-hours trading, tech stocks of various stripes were plummeting. Intel was trading at 76 after being halted, down from 86 7/16.

The chip giant unleashed the stunning news of its coming first-quarter shortfall just after the close, tarnishing a late-day tech rally led by Dell (DELL:Nasdaq). .....
