Dell up in after hours trading by $22.00 to $161.00!! Michael Dell in a press release was quoted at 4:30 EST saying; "Hi, I as lord of the computer makers am hereby proclaiming Dell the "Teflon Boxmaker"; although computer demand is slower for everyone else, not so here at Dell. Our sales should rise for the quarter ending april 98 by 1000s and 1000s of percents. We are quite literally swamped with orders; but will have no problem in timely output. Yes sirreezee bop - we are good. We have no glitches; no supply problems; no labor problems; no cash problems (unless you count lack of room to put all our cash that is coming in); no problems at all. And we foresee this state of affairs to go on into eternity"
