It was a friday before market open - INTC opened at 138 (I think) from a previous close of 162..Bargain hunters brought price back up to 148 or so.In the next few days it went up to 155 and then drifted all the way back to 140 over the next few weeks. Traded between 140 and 150 for about a month. Then in July (my best ever options month), after I had loaded up on options INTC went from 140 to 200 (100 post-spilt). Funnily enough I almost broke even with my July 165 calls that had plunged 90% in 1 day.

Deja vu all over again When INTC pre-announced in June '97,the nasdaq composite opened down 56 points and then ended the day in the plus column. I think we will see alot of bargains in the morning and than things will improve. However I would be shocked to see a continued rally in the boxmaker sector.Maybe DELL will come back to Earth. Also, in June, the announcement came early in the morning,now there is more time to think about it.I can't wait to see the volume on this tomorrow.It might be an Oracle-type 170M share day. Will be looking for bargains tomorrow. Phil
