According to my Thomson real-time graph, AMD price was still 22 at 4:15 PM when Intel broke their news. So, remarkably, the primary cause of the 4:58 PM price drop to 20 1/2 is the Intel news. I don't know whether this is P-Coast trading or Instinet.

Yesterday, I said to expect a 10% decline based on the shelf offering news. Accidentally, I was right, but only because of the
1)profit warning from AMD (-3%) and
2)Intel profit warning (-7%)

60% gross profit margins are gone forever for Intel
