S -- what did AMD say about their quarter? Did it sound worse than usual? Was there any info there that might shed light on Cpq? I think cpq will make their quarter or Mason's remarks would have been grimmer. What's your take? du

Hi All,

Softness in INTC processor chips does not necessary mean softness in PC sale! We just had a report from CPQ recently stating that PC sales in January were up 90% and revenue up 27% compare to the same time last year?

Last weekend I visited serveral computer retailers in and around LA and saw most of CPQ's sub $2000 PCs have AMD processors inside. CPQ even has AMD in some of its notebooks. Now if CPQ is in the #3 position in term of PC sales then I think their decision to put AMD into their sub $2000 PCs will have an effect on INTC.

Well we may have another blood letting day in CPQ tomorrow so I'm gasing up the truck to night and ready to back up the truck to scoop up more shares tomorrow.

That's All folks.

Good Night

LL
