I saw a real cute cartoon explanation of this once. A fresh jar of sour cream had a grinning cow on it. A month-old jar had a ...cow. And a two-month-old jar had a cow on ti that looked like it just bit a lemon.
Seems sour cream cultures keep doing their thing after packaging. And old sour cream can (figuratively) dissolve a nickel.

About Yogurt,

I always liked the assessment of one comedian (whose name escapes me right now) who said, "Yogurt is proof positive that radio advertising is worth every nickel of it's exorbitant pricing in that untold millions of Americans now believe that it tastes good".

This was said back when yogurt was making it's debut, as it were, in the market place.

Frankly, the tang of that germ in anything does not my palate pass with out groining from my soul and a general wrinkling of the nose.

(Holly, I have made good on my promise and now feel the better for it.
It was beginning to weigh heavily on my mind - but now to you goes the first post.)
