So Joe lets assess the situation

The INTC pre-announce is the worse possible tech news. It means Asia is here, CPU sales must be down etc. etc. Everything this market had already dismissed is about to be in its face.

It comes at a time when the DOW is at an inflated incredible number which bears no relationship to reality. SO whop will suffer most? The people that own the box stocks and the semi's in my opinion and MSFT will freefall. People that own already depressed stocks may suffer only marginally. Maybe.

Is the first recourse to sell everything as quickly as possible? Probably could be done at market if one gets the order in early enough. But judging from how the stocks are marked up or down at the opening you have to bet that it will open and move lower to adopt that strategy. Because any stock that is going down will be marked down before it opens substantially.

Then there is the question of how the media will handle it and are handling it. If they say to the public, don't panic, its a buying opportunity then there may be some time to get out on the bounce.

Then there is the decision of those who have accumulated cash, of whether to get in tomorrow and sell the next day on a bounce.

ITs pretty complicated.

As to NOVL. It hit 7 on that day in October from I believe 8 something. All I own on NOVL are 100 10 puts. Have to get up early tomorrow.
