I bought a few SPX Mar 1030 puts just before the close today to hedge my small/micro cap portfolio. Trying to keep my fear under control. Whew!

BTW it seemed the discussion on bankruptcy focused more on the individuals abusing credit than on the systematic drive by the financial powers to increase overall credit and to sell it to the public in thousands of ways. Memories of financial and economic crises are fading in the face of the massive media hyped campaign of consumerism financed by the banks, etc. To these financial institutions the future is no farther than the end of the quarter. I think the Asian crisis will be dwarfed by what will happen here when an economic downturn makes it impossible for borrowers to pay up.

" Now THAT was a good one... does it come with a tombstone?"

No, just an envelope full of margin calls and cancelled checks!
