People around the office thinking of getting one for home keep asking me (just because I'm the only engineer in the office) what to buy. I always say DELL, not GTW! :-)

Actually, GTW machines ain't all that bad if you don't mind buying something that has a 30/70 chance at having some component replaced. And for a lot of folks if they can save 3-400 bucks it's worth it to them, but the spreads among machine prices are starting to narrow.

Why fool with second rate material when there's nothing to be gained?

DELL doing great last quarter came at the expense of its "direct" rival, IMO. Don't know, but we'll see shortly. It was worth a good bet. Who knows maybe we'll get lucky and they'll run it up prior to the earnings announcement anyway. I'll be doubling my bet if that happens. This market ignores everything -- interest rates, trade deficits, valuations, why not INTC?

Almost bought my 4th 3rd (;-) of MU puts today, but that one will be tougher perhaps. Won't surprise me if it doesn't go down to much tomorrow.

Bat Food, I usually go out of my way to be civil, even in response to small brained insects, and most of us here who are long GTW have managed to ignore your drivel lately, but to say that "gtw will evaporate" and "where are all the mighty touts" is even more small minded than your usual "5% eps growth" buzzing.

FYI, GTW HAD inventory problems; the latest information indicates that they are not continuing. In after hours trading, GTW traded down to $39. Hardly the end of the world.

Since my cost, net of gains on covered calls, is 35 and change, I'll certainly survive this correction and may buy more if the correction gets serious.

You will never see $13 on this stock. If you have something useful to add to a serious discussion of GTW, box makers, the market or the economy, or even a good joke to share, do so. Otherwise, buzz off.
