Intel is only one company, and I think it may be premature to say that this is the bellweather of the entire stock market; even if it is, it would be an even further step to say that it will have a long-term effect. We'll see.

The Nasdaq is off 20 pts. minimum tomorrow in my opinion. When Intel sneezes a whole lot of the market catches cold. The disk drive makers got killed several months ago, I'm surprised the box makers have made it this far without a major pull back. The Intel thread is about 2 posts a minute talking about opening up 15 pts. below today's close.
Intel has not only lower margins but is seeing fewer units sold in Asia, U.S., and Europe. Slower unit demand across the spectrum. This is not slowing growth but actually reduced units sold. It may affect the oil service stocks very little, and should push some money our way in the next couple of months, but tomorrow could get wild.
All IMO.
