Do you all use Trend DataLink for downloads?
Not familer with these folks.

Do you guys know of any alternatives to Trend DataStink?

Quotes Plus EOD is what many here use. Also TC2000. Both are reliable.

Quotes Plus has a great Scan utility that is State of the Art.
You can download a demo and try it for 30days free. Release 1 is what you get in your download for now but release 2, (in beta,) should be out soon. It has that very user friendly scan utility.

I've complained to their technical support
several times. I don't think they have any
intention to improve their system.

I've tried various ways to maintain a set of
historical data only using Quote Plus's service.
I have to say that I give up. Quote Plus's output
program and Reuter's downloader both have bugs.
Sometimes they don't handle spilt correctly (in
MetaStock format). You have to completely delete
old data and start collecting again. I end up
subscribing both services.

If you really hate Reuter's service, two choices:
- use Dial Data
- use SuperChart with Prophet (http://www.betterdata.com)
Prophet may support Equis' Downloader in the near future.

My two cents.
