warned today. Yahoo! Another one. There will surely be more to

Marc....I am not a good predictor of price....but if you look at what is happening to the underlying fundamentals of the semi cap industry things aren't looking very rosy.....The PC industry needs a minimum of 15% growth to keep the wheels turnings for the chip makers. At this point it looks like the PC demand is dropping and the need to add any significant new fab capacity is also in question.

The question is...when can we expect the PC sales to pick up again?? The PC drives the whole technology industry....A PC is bought and needs to be hooked to the network or internet...that requires network gear (switches/routers)....you also need servers to support the net activities. So alot of chip go into building and supporting a PC. Any drop in PC sales can translate into slower sales in other related area's.....which then trickles down to semi caps.
