<<Stock Bull, I think that if Clik! is a useful product then there will be many co.'s trying to make a better product and compete with IOM. >>

This is why the more I think about it, the more the following makes sense. IOM would be in a better position if they were to merge with a DD powerhouse, this woould definately give them clout and they wouldn't have such a massive wall to climb everytime they comeout with a new prodcuts. A good case in point, although, in different industries, is today's acquisition of the Money Store by First Union.

Sheila, I spent my career in the hitech industry. I've seen many companies with great products, some of which established standards within their respective market segments, go bust. The reasons are varied, but the net effect was they were gone because the competition was better then they were. As an investor, I don't care what IOM develops and sells as long as I make a good return on my investment. At this time, I am concerned about others coming into the market...Sony, IBM, SyQuest, Nomai, et al. So far, I'm not impressed with IOM's management ability to execute their business plan and "handle" the analysts.
As I said before, these are just my thoughts on the situation.

By the way, I think I bought up all the Valium that was on the market. Needed it myself. <ggg>

I was invested in DEC until last week when I sold out while the stock was in the 60's. For awhile, I thought I would wait for the CPQ/DEC deal to close and get my cash and CPQ stock. However, watching how CPQ's stock was performing, I decided to take the money and run. Sure glad I did.

Tomorrow will be interesting...best thing to do is go to work and forget about the market till it settles down. Actually, I think we are entering into a good buying opportunity over the next few weeks. Intel, CPQ, and many other will be at bargin prices.

Good luck.
