Eric: In all due respect, the numbers are not really there yet.

Eric: I just received an ad in the mail for Nextel. The offer just came short of free radio and $25 month service. We're talkin the i600 radio. Tempting I have to admit, since last week I had my Airtouch cellular service disconnected, tired of the lost signals. If I only had five people that wantd to stay in touch with me, I'd get five at a bigger discount.<VBG>

New computation:... below cost phones + below cost service X number of new subscribers = bigger loss. OH yes, I forgot, more debt, so more interest. Based on past history of similar wireless systems, it takes five years to profit. Don't forget, cash flow takes longer to achieve, than profit. Principle payments on debt come out of cash flow, but don't show up in profit. (depreciation of excluded from this theory, but this doesn't change the computation much.)

OOPS, the dog whistle just blew, time for my dinner.

More accounting BS when I get the energy, and when you have the energy to listen to this boring stuff.

Al

Erik, the math is correctamundo but I disagree with the base numbers. I see over 1.5 million added and an average arpu north of $70.
